The Flagler County Democratic Black Caucus is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion within civic governance. Our mission is to identify, support, and promote black democratic candidates and officials who are committed to progressive values and equitable representation. We believe in the power of diverse voices to create meaningful change and strive to ensure that our political landscape reflects the rich diversity of our community.
Founded with a vision to empower black leaders and amplify their voices in the political arena, the Flagler County Democratic Black Caucus has a rich history of advocacy and support. Our core values include integrity, equity, and community engagement. We work tirelessly to create opportunities for black candidates and officials to succeed, providing them with the resources and support they need to make a positive impact. Through education, outreach, and strategic partnerships, we aim to build a more inclusive and representative democracy.

Our Services

We provide a range of services to support black democratic candidates and promote diversity in civic governance. Voting rights for all.

Candidate Support

Our Candidate Support program provides resources, training, and mentorship to black democratic candidates, helping them navigate the complexities of running for office and building successful campaigns.

Community Engagement

Through our Community Engagement initiatives, we educate and mobilize voters, fostering a more informed and active electorate. We host events, workshops, and forums to encourage civic participation.

Policy Advocacy

Our Policy Advocacy efforts focus on promoting legislation and policies that advance equity and justice. We collaborate with lawmakers, community leaders, and organizations to advocate for systemic change.

Leadership Development

Our Leadership Development programs cultivate the next generation of black leaders. We provide training, networking opportunities, and support to individuals committed to making a difference in their communities.

In 2022 and 2024 paired with the Flagler NAACP and SIS, we hit the streets, knocking on doors and making waves with a voter registration drive that’s shaking up the status quo. Join us in amplifying voices and shaping the future of our community through the power of civic engagement and advocacy. Together, we can make a real difference in creating a more equitable and just society.

Communications

In 2023 the Flagler County Democratic Black Caucus  partnered with the Flagler NAACP and the African American Cultural Society to produce a series of articles aimed at increasing membership in these organizations.
